Child Abuse Recovery for Adults
Victims of childhood sexual abuse are left with many emotional and sometimes physical scars. This workshop can be geared toward the adult survivor or toward those in the helping field. Materials from noted authors and researchers are used to generate an understanding of the long-term affects of sexual abuse. This information is delivered in such a way that the class is not bogged down with statistics.
Participants will receive an overview of the developmental stages experienced by victims of childhood sexual abuse. Discussion centers around loyalty, fear, shame, and guilt.
